Very nice, where was it taken?
That's a nice picture. I too like to post sunsets (and sunrises) on my blog. It's a nice calming time of day.
Mike - I took this picture on the beach here in Huntington Beach, looking towards Catalina Island. Also, you can see the oil platform in the distance.
Mark - I am glad you like the picture. I love taking photos of sunsets here.
Sharon... What do you mean winter where is the snow, I can't be winter without the white stuff. I think I'm ready for the beach, it's been a long winter in the Northeast.
I love the clouds rolling in on the horizon. Great picture-Dinah Lee
Mmmmmm....when pondering a sunset, one often thinks of the things in life to be thankful for.
Very pretty colors. Looks like a monster ship on the horizon.
Debi
Just fantastic. I do miss seeing the sun set over the ocean in the West..
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Steve - no white stuff here, well except for the white water. Spring is coming soon though!
Dinah Lee - thank you - it was a beautiful sunset, and I took that many shots that evening as it kept on changing.
Li - you are absolutely correct about pondering what is important in life.
Debi - it is actually an oil derrick in the distance, but you can often see ships waiting to get into the harbor as well.
Charles - I am glad you like the photograph, and will continue to share.
Sharon: it looks like an artist did this, it is so beautiful!
That's a pretty intense picture. We had some intense sunsets down here a couple of weeks ago, but everything's back to normal now.
I love sunset pictures. It's fortunate for me that I live so close to the beach.
Okay, I have had enough of winter sunsets, I want to start seeing some summer sunsets or at least some springy sunsets. I am tired of freezing my butt of each morning and about ready for a change of seasons.
Hi Sharon. I always enjoy stopping by for your wordless days. Your pictures really show the beauty of your part of the world!
Hi Sharon, This is a gorgeous sunset picture. Nice post!
Hi Sharon, awesome photography as always. Your clouds on the horizon over Catalina Island almost look like mountains as the sun sets.
Sharon - I missed this one and it is so beautiful!
Beautiful photo, Sharon! The freighter in the distance reminds me of my days on Mackinac Island - everytime a freighter would go by, the beers at the Pink Pony Bar of the Chippewa Hotel were happy hour price!
Sharon.. that is one beautiful winter sunset! I love the great colors:-)
