Another MeMe . . . A Worm? - No it's "A Bookworm"
My friend Kat Delong from Lake Arrowhead (you really should go and visit Lake Arrowhead sometime soon - particularly with the holidays approaching) tagged me with this meme, so I followed the instructions to the letter. I grabbed the nearest book. I have this book from a long time ago (but it is always a good read) that I loaned to my Mom, and she recently gave it back to me to re-read. Yes I am a Tony Robbins fan!! And I want to go to a live event soon - just have to make the time. And I digress . . . back to the worm - I mean "bookworm" meme . . .
So, I found the book - "Awaken the Giant Within" authored by Anthony Robbins. I opened to page 56, found the fifth sentence, and the text following is as follows:
"The answer is simple. Even though you know that all these actions would benefit you - that they could definitely bring pleasure to your life - you fail to act simply because in that moment you associate more pain to doing what's necessary than missing the opportunity. After all, what if you approached that person, and they rejected you!" (Anthony Robbins, "Awaken the Giant Within", page 56).

Bookworm Meme--I've Been Tagged!
Here's how this meme works:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next two to five sentences.
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book or the intellectual one. Pick the Closest.
6. Tag five people to do the same
****you just can't use the Bible****
So now, to keep this worm, I mean "bookworm" going - I am tagging:
Kim Kelley - Kim Kelley from Lake Arrowhead, California
Christina Williams - Christina Williams from Crossville, Tennessee
Marlene Pellegrini - Marlene Pellegrini from Norwich, Connecticut
Sally Cheeseman - Sally Cheeseman from Mililani, Hawaii
Heather Rankin - Heather Rankin from Lake Powell, Utah
Good luck with the "worm" - I mean "bookworm". Can't wait to see what you are reading!!!

Sharon: Tony Robbins always has a way of making US stop and think. And this particular sentence, After all, what if you approached that person, and they rejected you!" is so true!!! Thanks for doing the MeMe!
Sharon,
Thanks for playing the Meme game....it appears to be a worm on AR tonight...quite a few.....
Kat - you are welcome. It was fun! I love books and enjoy reading. Just have to make the time!
Julie - for sure it is fun to play the meme game!!! It does appear to be a 'worm" . . .
Sharon... I have been to one of his speakings before... I know some of these people have some talent when it comes to speaking, but the ra ra stuff turns me off.... in any case, I am seeing a bunch of book meme's turn up. I had my fair share of meme's when it was just the basic one or the other one that popped up. I think I have done a total of 5 meme's... lol PS... do magazines count? lol
Jeff - I too have have been to his presentations and I like him if it can help you change your thinking at that particular time. I thnk magazines can count for sure - it is still reading!
Well Hello Sharon! Tag... I'm it! x2. Carol Smith also tagged me. I guess I better get on the ball and write this silly little post! Stay tuned... I will get to it tomorrow! :o)
Hi Marlene - I sent you an email, and I am glad you are going to write one. It is interesting to see what everyone is reading or at least has nearby!!
what's a meme
Of course that's why you are so successful from the inside out!
he is my all time favorite!
Sharon, wow sounds like a great book. Dr. Phil says something similiar in his book. People don't change because they are obviously in some weird way getting a reward for what they are doing. Fear can be more of a comfort than taking a risk into the future, trying new things.
Sally - thanks much!
Midori - I love Tony Robbins - I recently saw him at the Tom Ferry event and think he is amazing.
Missy - it is a great book - an old book, but none the less the message is great!
Sharon, I wrote 3 posts today - They were in the draft mode and I completed them. I HAD SOOOO MUCH TO SAY! I still have to write this post that you tagged me for. I PROMISE I WILL!!!!
Marlene - I do the same thing, write posts and save to draft. That is good girl - 3 in a day - wow! You are definitely not writer blocked!
Sharon,
Thanks for the Friend add on FB! I have to say...I LOVE Tony Robbins. I read this book about 12 years ago (guessing) when I was quite depressed. I have to say...NO ONE has ever motivated me or freed me from the fear of the unknown the way Tony Robbins did in that book.
Now, I find myself doubting and fearing again...and in pop's you on facebook...and bring me on over to read the quote. You're an angel today!
Now, what did I do with that book...I believe I lent it to someone...and I'm guessing since I've not seen it in ages...I did NOT get it back.
Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow?!
Dane - you are welcome, and nice to be friends. I too love Tony Robbins - thank you so much and I am glad that Tony helped you out. My book is old as wel, but still a great read. I am going to re-read it as well. Thanks again - Sharon
Sharon, that's a great Tony Robbins book you selected there. It is in my library of course so we have similar reading tastes. Tony is always so full of energy. I know you said you went to his presentations as well.
Gary - yes we do have similar tastes - I love Tony robbins and look forward to going to another course (when I have - or make - the time). He is inspiring.
