Sharon: You've done a great job on this post and adding the actual course map is so helpful
Kat - thanks I am thinking of running in it, but there are hills as my daughter pointed out . . . but why not!!!
Sharon, if I was there I would run the 5K, although for me now, those are the real short races, and it is on my birthday too. Good luck with all the events. It sounds like a fun time and of course in your area, beautiful scenery too. Hills will make it challenging.
Gary - wow - how far do you run? I would love to work up to a marathon sometime soon . . . just need to be consistent with the training. Happy Birthday in advance to you! My youngesst daughter Morgan's birthday is October 9th - she is turning 12 - and we are celebrating it on your birthday!!! Hope you have a great birthday!
Hi Sharon,
Looks like fun and what better place to run than Newport Beach? I've done Corona Del Mar (yes hills) and Hungtington Beach 1/2 marathon a few X on Superbowl Sundays, yet not this one. Hope it goes well.
Lynda - awesome - good for you. I need to get my training so I can work up to a half, then a marathon. Thanks for the comment.
Sharon, I was delighted to see they have a run for children--many don't! I hope they have a great turnout to help the PTA.
Carole - I am glad they have runs for children as well. I think my youngest daughter is going to run and she will be 12 - she wants to do the 5K.
Always a great thing to be helping kids. I am sure that it will be a great success. Have a fantastic week Sharon.
Scott - the race supportst he Newport Harbor High PTA which is a good thing. I am sure it will be good success, and I am planning on participating with my girls!! Have a great day!
Sharon, what a great place for a run. With your map showing the course, the observer can also feel part of the race as well. I bet it will be a fantastic day for all in Newport Beach.
