Planes of Fame Air Show - May 17 - 18, 2008

The Chino Airport in Chino, California is hosting their 2008 Annual Air-show. This is a great opportunity ofr aviation enthusiasts to come and view the historic planes that are on display as well as a fantastic air show.  Chino Airport is located about 20 minutes from the Orange County area, and is a great airport for general aviation. There is also the historic Planes of Fame Museum which is available to visit year round.

Chino Airport is a general aviation airport, and has tremendous benefits for aircraft owners. The airport identifier is KCNO. There are private hangars available for lease or purchase. And the airport features several runways (26L - 7000', 26R - 4858', and Runway 21- 4919'. The runways may be turned in accordance with the wind direction. The length of the runways accomodate the larger aircraft for take off and landing.

The airshow will feature warbirds and military displays. It is an opportunity to get close and tour spectacular aircraft. There is even the opportunity to board some of these aircraft. Come and visit Chino Airport. Bring your camera, and bring your sunscreen.

There are some great restaurants including Flo's which is located at 5650 Riverside Dr, Chino. This is a great place to get a hearty breakfast, and meet some pilots.

Sharon, when I lived in Florida they had a Warbird type air show and I loved going to them. Yours there in Chino sounds like great entertainment for this weekend. Your comment about Flo's is already making me hungry. Enjoy!

This post just begs for a photo or two!  I posted today about things that fly, too.  Here's a photo.  LOL

Yes Sharon, if you took any pictures maybe add them to the post. I like all the color of the planes on the ground at air shows. I'd love to go to an air show and see one of those tri-wing red colored World War I German Red Baron planes. The green B-17's are pretty cool too. I really need to get to Washington D.C. and tour the Air and Space Smithsonian museum. I think they moved it out toward Dulles Airport, unless that's another one too.
