Speechless Sunday | Huntington Beach Pier

Speechless Sunday in Huntington Beach, CA

It was like summer today and there were so many visitors today at the beach to take advantage of the beautiful summer-like weather. It was in the 70's, and the water is pretty warm as well.

My daughter's and I were on the pier and just were watching the waves as they were pretty big today, the lifeguard towers were all staffed, and they appeared to be busy as there were any rip currents as well.

The smell of the salt air reminds me that summer is on the way.

The waves were pretty big as well today and the lifeguards had their hands full.

That's a very nice picture, Sharon. Did a lot of surfers take advantage of the waves? Thanks for sharing with all of us.

Hi Debbie Laity - at the pier there were rip currents so not the best surfing conditions. I would not want to be swept under the pier. But there a LOT if swimmers tho. I am sure in other areas surfers took advantage.

Sharon, I can never get enough of  Ocean Views and Salt Water, having moved away from Marina Del Rey is when I truly realize how much I took for granted living 500 yards from the Pacific Ocean, Endre

Sharon - Been to the Huntington Beach Pier many times as my brother lives in nearby Redondo Beach. We enjoy visiting his family so we can all go to the beach.

Sharon, I can hear the waves crashing right now!  Is that 50's Style Diner still open at the end of the pier?  ( Was it called Red's or Ruby's-there was one in Laguna Beach as well)

Good morning Sharon. Good to hear that you had a summerlike day yesterday. We enjoyed plenty of sunshine and a beautiful springlike day today. I was amazed to see how much has begun to bud out.

It's been a long time since I've seen the Huntington Beach pier. It hasn't changed any, and that's a good thing. Great picture.
