Setting Up Google Alerts

I am posting this as I received a question from another ActiveRainer about how to set up Google alerts. And I am sure it has been posted before.

I have a Google alert set up for my own name, Newport Beach Real estate - and related topics to real estate in my area.

This is a great opportunity to find out what people are searching for and what comes up when they do. Also - it is a great opportunity to see how fast Google finds your blogs (I find this very interesting!).

So here goes -

1. Type in google alerts in your browser . . .

2. Or type in http://www.google.com/alerts in the address bar

Then - the Google alert page will ask you for your search terms - set up multiple accounts. I personally google my name and real estate related items in Newport Beach.

Then enter your email address and how often you want to receive it - and that is it . . .

I receive emails daily from what I have set up.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Begin your Newport Beach Luxury Home Search today, and find information about Newport Beach Real Estate here.

Hi Sharon

Great tutorial for those not already using Google Alerts, but who should. They are a big help...I have a bunch of them and have had for years. Probably need to re-evaluate and edit some.
