Hi, my name is Morgan Thomson, I am Sharon’s daughter and here is my view of  living in Newport Beach!

Endeavor-

Life at the studio is a whole other world. It is my second home. And they are my second family. I learn to be a better dancer every day, and I get to enjoy my time there.

My dance teacher, Shannon Novak, is my second mother. She is an amazing teacher, and she insprires me to be a better dancer everyday. She is always there for me, and is a friend when I need one. She teaches me how to put my heart and soul into my dancing. Shannon, herself is an amazing dancer, like none other. Dancing is her life, and she is very commited and good at what she does. She started teaching when she was only 14 years old, and now she owns a very successful studio in Costa Mesa, California. Endeavor School Of The Arts.

My friends there are like family. I may be the youngest one in my class, but it helps me become a more mature and skilled dancer. The classes are harder, but it is always better for me to work harder, and accomplish more things.

Endeavor is a very skilled studio. We have won Move Nationals 2 years in a row, with the choreography of Shannon Novak. I just returned from Palm Springs for Move Nationals, where we won the finals! We work all year round to be successful dancers.

I thank Shannon for everything she does to help me and all the dancers at Endeavor become the best dancers we can be.

Endeavor School of the Arts which is located in Costa Mesa, CA participated in the Move Production National Finals this past weekend from July 8, 2011 to July 12, 2011. Endeavor is a dance studio which is owned by Shannon Novak.

Move Production National Finals had approximately 40 groups, including the top 5 Small Groups in the Petite, Junior, Teen and Senior divisions. The top 5 Large Groups for each division including Petite, Junior, Teen and Senior divisions participated in a Dance Off on July 12, 2011.

The Move Production National Finals were held in Palm Springs at the Convention Center, and there were studios from all over Southern California, and at least studio from Northern California. It was a pleasure to watch and take the talent of these incredible dancers. It was entertaining and it was amazing to see how skilled these young dancers are.

The name of the dance the girls from Endeavor School of the Arts in Costa Mesa presented was called “Looking Glass”. Congratulations to Endeavor School of the Arts – for making it to the final dance off held today. And I can tell you that these girls presented an incredible show. As a result of their incredible efforts, the judges awarded them the top Senior Large Group National Champions. This is an incredible feat. Congratulations to Shannon Novak and Jaime Randall!

And the parents behind these dancers get to experience the excitement as well!

My daughter Morgan Thomson is one of the dancers at the Endeavor School of the Arts Company and did participate in this group dance off! Congratulations to Morgan and all the dancers at Endeavor! And Morgan is also a contributor here on this site as well!

Once again, congratulations to Endeavor School of the Arts! I would like to express my appreciation to all the studios who participated and dancers who danced. They are all amazing!

The Living Room Salon in Costa Mesa

The Living Room Salon is located at 125 Rochester Street, in East Side Costa Mesa is an eclectic salon. The Living Room salon occupies a former auto repair house, and there are metal doors, and crystal chandeliers. Also, there is incredible art work displayed throughout.

I have been going to the Living Room for several years, and my stylist is Megan Kiefer. Megan does a great job at color and cut. She has an assistant Lonnie Kohlmyer and they are an amazing team. They are friendly and very professional.  I highly recommend the Living Room Salon in Costa Mesa. I have found all the staff to be friendly and professional.

The Orange County Fair Opens Tomorrow!

The Beat Goes On!

The Orange County Fair is opening tomorrow, July 16, 2010 and will run all the way through August 15, 2010.  The theme for th OC Fair is “The Beat Goes On!”. The tickets for the OC Fair are available now at ticketmaster. The prices for a single day admission is $10, there are group sales for 15 or more for $8 per person, and there is a Superpass which costs $30. The Superpass grants you admission to the Orange County Fair EVERY Day of the 2010 OC Fair, July 16th through August 15th and it is open Wednesday through Sunday. The Orange County Fair is an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful beach climate, see the exhibits, animals, eat some great food and perhaps ride some of the exciting rides. There are dance exhibitions, and food vendors to enjoy the fair atmosphere. Find additional information and photos here.
