Life on the Balboa Peninsula - Newport Beach, CA

Hi, my name is Morgan Thomson, I am Sharon’s daughter and here is my view of  living in Newport Beach!

Life on the Balboa Peninsula

The Balboa Peninsula is my home. Especially since its summer, I basically live there. There is so much to do there. One thing I love to do with my friends is go to the Fun Zone.

Sometimes we go on the bungee jump that overlooks the bay. And we eat at a popular diner, Streamliner. Sometimes we go just to see the people. Also the fun Zone is where the Catalina Flyer is located.

Another thing that is always fun is to go to the very popular, Great Mex. It is literally the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. And it is so close and inexpensive, I go there twice a day sometimes. My favorite drink to have there is a Mandarin Jarrito. Which is a Mexican soda. It is so sweet! My order there is 6 tortillas with butter, and a bean and cheese burrito. It is always very filling, and worth it.

More options to do there is to go across the ferry to Balboa Island! Usually our only purpose of doing this is to go to Dad’s and get hippo cookies! Which are the best cookies ever.

There is so much to do on the Balboa Peninsula. The possibilities are endless! It’s always so much fun.

Lifestyle in Newport Beach - Riding Your Bike on the Boardwalk!

Hi, my name is Morgan Thomson, I am Sharon’s daughter and here is my view of  living in Newport Beach!

A typical bike ride on the boardwalk-

The boardwalk is located on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach. The boardwalk is a commonly used passage of transport for me. It is where I go to the beach. It’s how I get to my friends houses. It’s sometimes for pure enjoyment. You always see very different types of people there. You may see cool bikes, cool cars. It’s a different story every time.

Most recently, July 6th, was the last time I was on the board walk. I saw a 10 foot tall bike and a man riding it! It’s always so cool to see what people have.

I love to meet new people, which is very easy on the boardwalk. It is beach people, beach environment. And it is literal heaven when the sun is out, and the weather is nice.

I recommend riding your bike the next time you are down at the beach.

Living in Newport Shores, CA

Hi, my name is Morgan Thomson, I am Sharon’s daughter and here is my view of  living in Newport Beach!

Life in Newport Shores-

My neighborhood in Newport Shores in Newport Beach is very fun and always entertaining. The people are always sweet, and the kids are too. Newport Shores in Newport Beach is easy access (biking) to Huntington Beach, river jetty (dog beach), and lots of other places.

There is a community pool which has a large pool, where swim lessons during the summer months, and swim meets are held, there is a clubhouse where there is a kitchen and places to dine, it has a volleyball court, with a view of the canal. There is a playground, and a basketball court, and a tennis court with views of the Newport Shores canal. There are many fun things to do when you are at the pool.

It is always very fun living here as a kid. I love the people and the environment.
