The above is the outside of the Christmas card, taken in Newport Harbor on Coast Highway across from Linda Isle in Newport Beach.
This would be the inside of the card with the paragraph of what I would like to say to my current and past clients. I have already sent out my Christmas cards to my clients this year, but perhaps I will make my own for next year. Maybe next year a contest in November to get them printed in time!
I took the same photo as the outside and changed it and put the text on top of it to keep the same theme.
I recently took this photo because the Newport Beach parade is coming up this next week, and timed it right where they were decorating the yacht for the upcoming parade.
Taking a photo of the Newport Beach Parade of Lights is meaningful to me because that is definitely one event that really makes Newport Beach stand out in general. I have seen the parade many times from many view points including a big boat, a Duffy (an electric boat), decorated a boat for the parade several times, from the Balboa Bay Club at my company party, and from a number of different restaurants. One thing that impresses me are the boat captains navigating a very busy Newport Harbor at night with a huge number of vessels.
It is a time to enjoy the holiday season with friends and exclaim at the beauty that goes by. It impresses me ever year. I drive Coast Highway every day, and last night driving home seeing the tall Palm trees in Bayshores in Newport Beach always reminds me of Christmas.
I feel blessed to live in such a beautiful area, and want to share it with friends, family and clients as well (who become my friends).
