With the holiday season rapidly approaching in Newport Beach, here are a few tips for decorating during the holiday season, if you plan to keep your home on the market:
- Use discretion when decorating, and sometimes less is more. Use fewer decorationsso the house doesn't feel cluttered, the home should feel welcome and not cluttered.
- Keep scents to a minimum - they can be offensive to some so it is best not to use them.
- Keep a fire lit if the weather is appropriate for it to create a welcome feel.
- Maintain landscaping on outside of home with appropriate seasonal decor.
- If you are using outside holiday lights, keep it tasteful and sometimes less is more.
Keep in mind if potential buyers are looking at your home during the holiday season, they are serious buyers! Keep your house in tip top condition at all times.
